Design Test Cases For Automation

IDT will design and provide automated test cases to be run within the automated testing framework called ATRT (Automated Test and Re-Test). The test cases will help define the details of how you plan to accomplish the test objectives, defined in the Automated Testing Strategy.

We will identify how you will test and verify the requirements by defining and developing items such as:

• Detailed descriptions of test cases for each testing phase, such as functional, performance, security, and concurrency; types of testing techniques applied; along with expected results, method of determining expected results, analysis of actual versus expected results, analysis of test outcome if not specific results but a range of data that needs to be analyzed, and more.

• Reusable components and project-specific features required in ATRT.

• Type of test data to be used; how the test data will be derived or acquired.

• Number and content of phases (or spirals, or iterations) of deliveries.

• Reporting requirements

Deriving effective and correct test cases is important for automated software testing success; automating inefficient test cases will result in poor program performance. If test cases already exist, then we will analyze and map as applicable to the automated test requirements so that information can be reused if possible.
