IDT’s Automated Test and Re-Test Technology (ATRT) specifically addresses the unique challenges of testing large complex software systems, which include:
• Non-Windows based Systems under Test (SUT) - Most of the industry provided automated testing solutions run on Windows variations with a focus on web based applications; ATRT addresses the specific automated testing needs required to effectively test systems that are non-Windows based.
• Maintain pristine Software Configuration of the System under Test (SUT) – Other automated testing tools require that the automated testing solution to be installed on the SUT, therefore modifying its configuration. ATRT is able to run remotely and does not modify the pristine state of the software configuration of the System under Test.
• Systems comprised of multiple computers and many applications - ATRT was designed to support the testing of complex systems comprised of networks of computers, display consoles, and applications. The typical automated testing solution is designed to support a single application executing on a single computer.
• Supporting GUI / Display, Functional, and Interface testing – Testing of large complex systems includes different types of testing. ATRT technology includes image based capture and playback technology for GUI / Display testing, support for functional testing, and interface testing which can be automatically built from your IDL. Unlike other automation testing tools which support a single type of testing, ATRT supports all the types of testing required by large complex system.
